School Philosophy
We at Small Town Montessori School believe that each child is a unique individual. Our goal is to make sure that each child reaches their full potential we provide a nurturing, safe, loving environment, away from home.
At Small Town Montessori School, we follow the curriculum developed by Dr. Maria Montessori allowing the child to set free their personality and inner self. We also promote self-discipline, confidence and a mutual respect for themselves and their environment. In our program, we teach our children not to compete with others but strive for their own personal best.
Program Statement
Small Town Montessori School program is committed to providing safe, loving, and nurturing environment for each child to develop at their own space. Each child will be engaged socially, emotionally, and educationally to ensure their future success in all learning. We believe that children flourish best in an academic setting for life. Our goal at Small Town Montessori School is to provide each child an atmosphere with respect and positive encouragement and we will set clear and simple rules in order for each child to succeed.
We at Small Town Montessori School believe that parents are the most important people in a child’s life and we work closely with parents to achieve the best care for their child. Small Town Montessori School accepts How Does Learning Happen? (HDLH) and the Minister’s Policy Statement on Programming Pedagogy. We incorporate The Montessori Method of Learning in this Policy. We Provide program plans that all staff must follow statement and will be monitored to ensure that they comply with the policy. The staff will be aware of the policy and expectations before they start work at Small Town Montessori School.
